Treating the Cause, Not Just the Symptom: Insurance policies often limit treatment strictly to the area of pain. However, as we discuss in my exams, pain in your knee might be caused by a dysfunction in your hip. Independent practice allows me to treat the source of the problem, not just the location of the symptom.
Access to All Tools: Many insurance plans deny coverage for essential therapies, thorough examinations, or extended appointment times. I refuse to provide "suboptimal" care just to fit into a billing code.
Focus on Patients, Not Paperwork: The administrative burden of verifying coverage, fighting denials, and managing contracts takes valuable time away from patient care. I prefer to spend my energy on you, not on phone calls with insurance adjusters.
You will pay for your visit at the time of service.
I will file the claim on your behalf. If you have "Straight Medicare" (and have not reassigned your benefits to a Medicare Advantage plan), Medicare will send the reimbursement check directly to you for any covered services.
Please be aware that Medicare has strict limits. They only cover the chiropractic adjustment of the spine in a region of "active treatment" (meaning you have a specific injury or pain).
Medicare does not cover examinations, X-rays, therapies, exercises, or "maintenance care" (preventative visits once pain has resolved). These services will be an out-of-pocket expense.
